Privacy Policy
Your privacy and security are our top priorities
Word Wiz AI respects user privacy and is committed to protecting personal information. The product collects only the information necessary to provide phonics practice and pronunciation feedback.
Recordings. When a child reads a sentence, the recording goes to our server, which scores each sound and writes the feedback. To recognize the words, our server also sends the recording to Deepgram, a speech-to-text service. Deepgram sends back the words it heard and doesn't keep the recording or use it to train its models. Word Wiz AI doesn't save recordings. It keeps the scores and which sounds were hard, so practice can adapt.
Other services. OpenAI writes some practice sentences from the scores and never receives a recording. Google Cloud Text-to-Speech turns the written feedback into the voice your child hears. Each service gets only what it needs for its step.
Practicing without an account. On wordwizai.com/try, a child can read a few practice sentences without creating an account. The recording is sent to our server, analyzed to give pronunciation feedback, and then discarded. Word Wiz AI doesn't save it. To count how many people use Word Wiz AI, the page keeps a random ID in your browser and stores an anonymous guest record under that ID. The record has no name, email, or recording in it. If you later create an account in the same browser, the guest record becomes that account.
Word Wiz AI does not sell user or student data and does not use data for advertising purposes. Any data collected is stored securely and accessed only as needed to operate the service.
If Word Wiz AI experiences a data security incident, reasonable steps will be taken to address the issue in accordance with applicable laws.
